Mow down hordes of zombies with a machine gun in one of the best FMV games on the Mega-CD. You must explore the island of Cay Noir with the help of the last survivor Winston and journalist Julie, in order to defeat Doctor Hellman and his zombie army. Moving on rails through short sections but around the island at will gives a sense of freedom, and is also necessary to locate bonus items that will help with the final assault on Dr Hellman's Fortress. At any time you can return to your base in the graveyard to rest and regain health. The FMV is slightly grainy, as would be expected, but the action is easy to make out and the whole game is an enjoyable blast from beginning to end. What can only be found by digging through the option menu is that this title will support the Menacer light gun, which is much better than using a joypad. |
This is perhaps the only one of the four titles where the original is rarer than the enhanced 32X version. |
